Beauty from the kitchen shelf
Hello everybody,
I want to share some beauty tips with u all, I found these tips from different books and some are from friends, I have tried them all and am very happy with the results.
Here are some home made beauty tips to share.
Eggs – Eggs are very good for face, it helps to tighten the pores and nourish the skin. Beat a raw egg and apply it as a mask on the face and neck, leave it for 20 minutes and then wash your face with cold water. The egg white can be used as a cleanser, apply it on the head for half-an- hour before you shampoo. I have tried this and believe me it works, beat an egg and mix 2 teaspoon of brandy, apply it to your hair and leave it for 30 mins before you wash your hair.
Apricot - It works as anti aging cream and also helps to lighten the stretch marks. It can also be used in face packs.
Castor oil – Apply castor oil into the scalp at bedtime and wash your hair next morning. It is said to rejuvenate the hair. Or you can also rub the castor oil in to the scalp and then cover your head with a large towel dip in hot water, but please take the water out from the towel, you only need to tie hot towel so that it will allow greater penetration of oil into your scalp. Castor oil also helps to darken and thicken the eyelashes when applied on them.
Honey – Honey is the best natural moisturisers, very good in winter when the skin gets very dry and dull. Apply it straight from the honey bottle, without mixing anything to it. For oily skin mix egg white with honey and apply. Always wash your face with cold water.
Cucumber – Cucumber has a cleansing and soothing effect on the skin. Dip cotton balls in cucumber juice and use them as eye pads, very effective for tired eyes.
Potato – Raw potatoes are very good to make skin shine. Potato slices can also be used to wipe the skin; they have a tightening effect and help to reduce puffiness around the eyes. Grate potatoes and extract the juice, apply it on the skin. Use the slices as eye pads.
Papaya – they contain enzymes, which help to soften the dead skin cells and remove them. Use pulp as a face mask. Good for all skin types.
Orange – I think everybody knows about orange peels. Dry orange peels in the sun and grind them to fine powder. Add this powder to face mask mixtures; they are good for skin toning.
Yoghurt - Yoghurt is a good natural cleanser and contains enzymes. Apply it on the face and wash after 20 minutes with Luke warm water. It is very good for oily skin, spotty skins. It can also be applied on the scalp before shampoo for 30 minutes. It cleans the scalp and adds shine to the hair. Very good for dry hair. Eating yoghurt everyday keeps your skin looks fresh and shiny.
Remedies for getting rid of dandruff – Take yellow part of the egg and mix 2 tablespoons of yoghurt, 1 tablespoon of any hair oil you use, mix it well and apply it on the scalp for 30 minutes before going for bath. Then wash your hair and feel the difference. Use this paste every time before you wash your hair. It is good for hair and gives body to the hair.
